Capital Campaign

Our goal is to finish the building renovations to:
1) Expand our broadcast studio capable of live TV.
2) Expand and update the classrooms.


Nantucket Community Television (NCTV) represents an important and vital grassroots journalism resource for all of the residents and visitors on Nantucket. It is a precious and unique resource which is already serving critical information needs on the Island and with the potential of adding knowledge, depth and educational interest to support Nantucket’s rich history and cultural importance. With financial support, it will contribute to community-building and will spark innovation through new programs for all Nantucket residents—year-round, seasonally, including visitors to our island.

There are opportunities for island businesses to reach new potential not only in e-commerce but more importantly establishing brand recognition in community leadership and networking.  Multimedia is 90% of the market reach when managed professionally has profound results when combined with a live broadcast, on-demand streaming online and social media.  

We are more than 65% there!

NCTV is finalizing negations with Comcast to obtain the following:  

  1. Three TV Channels
  2. One of these channels will be HD
  3. One of these channels will have a Nantucket News Show
  4. The Equipment to broadcast live from our Media Studio
  5. Software and computers to teach media arts and broadcast journalism

To finish and reach our goal…

We need to raise an additional $300,000 to do the following:

  1. Renovate our basement level to house the new media studios
  2. Soundproof the basement level
  3. Lighting sets
  4. Staging Sets
  5. Control Room for live broadcast
  6. Renovate the main floor to 
  7. Expand classroom ability
  8. Expand members recording studio

Corporate Matching

Corporate philanthropy, social responsibility, and sound business to continue to build the island economy through the unique communication aspects the NCTV offers.  We are looking for companies to match the Comcast final financial commitment at a 1:1 ratio, or a match at a 2:1, 3:1, or even a 4:1 ratio. What You Can Do to Help

Matching Gifts

NCTV has the perfect opportunity for you to double the impact of your gifts. Many companies, both large and small, match the gifts of their employees and retirees. We recommend asking your company if they have a program of this type and how to access it. This is a wonderful way of increasing your impact, but the process must be initiated by you. Gifts given to Nantucket Community Television in honor or in memory of a loved one help to create family legacies of NCTV Original Programming. Memorial and honor gifts are a wonderful way in which to pay tribute to someone who has made a positive impact on your life.
